Since qualifying in 2005, Hannah has specialised in public, concessions, utilities and defence procurement. Hannah has also advised private sector clients on international supply chain compliance and good practice. Hannah has in-depth knowledge of procurement law, and her approach is pragmatic, clear and easy to understand.
Hannah provides strategic advice to authority clients, advising on procurement structure and routes to market as well as general advice on compliance with the procurement regime, review and drafting of tender documentation, and challenge risk. Hannah also runs training sessions for procurement teams, including procurement pitfalls, and evaluation and moderation training. She has significant procurement challenge experience acting for both authorities and bidders, and working closely with litigation colleagues. Her procurement experience comes from a range of sectors including health, education, central and local government, transport, defence, nuclear and technology.
Hannah advises private sector bidders on bidding strategy, remedies available and the potential for challenge. She also regularly advises bidder clients on the implications of modifying a public contract post award and conflict of interest procedures. Her experience of both contentious and non-contentious matters gives her a holistic view of the key issues and risks that can arise when dealing with procurement-related activity.
Hannah also advises private sector clients on supply chain compliance and has undertaken risk assessments of corporate policies and practices against international legislation and best practice programmes. She has also helped design a procurement programme for an entity outside of the UK, ensuring it aligns with international best practice.
