Cristóbal Cibie is a Legal Director and head of tax in our Chile office since 2024.
He specializes in advising large corporations in matters of tax and finance, and has substantial experience with mining, infrastructure, software and financial sector clients. He is also regularly engaged for his experience dealing with quantum and financial accounting issues in arbitration.
Cristóbal has a strong international background, strategic acumen and versatility. Before joining Clyde & Co Chile, he spent most of his career at prominent international firms in Chile and the U.S. advising large multinationals in tax matters arising from project finance, business reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border services. He also worked at a well-known dispute resolution firm, advising tax and financial issues entailed in complex disputes, such as Chapter XI reorganizations of Chilean Corporations, and quantum matters in national and international arbitration.
