Robin joined Clyde & Co in 2019 and is an Associate specialising in international dispute resolution.

Robin works on a broad range of contentious matters and has experience in international arbitration (including under ICC, LCIA, and LMAA rules), and litigation in the English Courts. His sector experience includes energy disputes (such as contentious oil and gas issues arising from Production Sharing Agreements) in the Middle East market and he has also acted on various general commercial disputes.

Robin acts for various international clients, including both private commercial entities and states, who are based across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, in high-value multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Robin predominantly advises on disputes against other international entities but also has experience against states, including up to the enforcement of debt claims.

  • Acting for a state in a bifurcated ICC arbitration worth in excess of US$300 million concerning various disputes arising from a Production Sharing Agreement
  • Acting against a state for non-payment of debts and pursuing enforcement proceedings after securing High Court judgment
  • Acting for a Middle East based distributor on a US$70 million dispute for termination
  • Advising a client on its contractual entitlements under an agreement against a non-paying counterparty
  • Advising a major international oil and gas entity on sanctions in respect of its operations in China
