Lucy Bowdery is an Associate in the Healthcare Team, based out of the Manchester office.

Lucy joined the Healthcare Team in January 2023 and advises on a range of claims against medical professionals including doctors, nurses, dentists and other allied healthcare professionals through their Medical Defence Organisations or private insurers.

Before this, Lucy worked for an NHS Resolution panel firm and worked for NHS Trusts defending a wide range of clinical negligence claims against their clinicians.

During her training contract at a Firm in London, Lucy worked on behalf of Claimant's in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters so is well placed to understand both sides of these types of disputes.

Lucy is also involved with the Firm's pro-bono activities including the recent project with the Greater Manchester Law Clinic.

• Acting on behalf of medical defence organisations to represent their insureds/members in clinical negligence claims.
• Secured a discontinuance 5 days before Trial in a claim for alleged failure to diagnose oral cancer.
• Secured a discontinuance from a Litigant in Person who brought a claim against an Orthodontist in respect of dental implants.
