Jonathan is an insurance litigator, specialising in the defence of construction professionals of all disciplines, particularly architects, engineers, project managers, design and construct contractors and surveyors. He is an expert in complex, high value construction claims by way of litigation, arbitration and adjudication, and is highly experienced in all forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Jonathan also frequently advises on complex coverage issues, particularly in respect of professional indemnity, SPPI, CAR, and PL policies.
Jonathan specialises in the defence of construction professional liability claims, with a particular focus on defending D&C contractors. He has extensive experience of complex, high value construction disputes, and regularly acts for top 10 UK contractors and global construction consultants. Jonathan is experienced in all forms of dispute resolution and ADR. Jonathan qualified as a barrister in 2001 at 2 Dr Johnson’s Buildings, and cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2005.
Jonathan has extensive experience of representing large D&C contractors (and their professional liability insurers) across a wide spectrum of claims, to include defending post Grenfell claims arising from non-compliant cladding, insulation, and fire compartmentation issues (including fire doors), along with pursuing the recovery claims downstream.
