Hannah is a Legal Director based in the Manchester office within Clyde & Co’s top-ranking personal injury defendant team.  She specialises in high value employers’ liability, public liability, and road traffic accident claims, advising on policy, multi-party actions and complex liability disputes.  Hannah has a particular interest in Occupiers’ liability claims and has been involved in the successful defence of claims for golf clubs, climbing centres and fitness instructors. 

Hannah prides herself on working closely with both insurer and insured giving pragmatic and straightforward advice.  She regularly provides defensibility training to corporate clients to improve systems and claims investigations.  She has extensive experience in the retail sector and manages a team acting for a leading UK retailer.

Her work encompasses serious injury and psychological conditions including chronic pain, amputations, and fatal accidents.

Expérience

• Seconded to a major insurer within their complex injury team for 13 months giving a unique insight into the demands and needs of the claims team.
• Defence of a complex chronic pain case for a retail client, securing a discontinuance the week before trial.
• Defence at trial of a tripping accident for a national supermarket chain.  The claim involved an elderly Claimant with serious injuries, but early investigation led to a successful defence.
• Discontinuance of a claim brought against a Zumba instructor for a serious knee injury sustained in the class.
• Advising in relation to armed robbery and assault cases for retailers.
• Providing regular training to corporate clients, brokers and risk teams, including tailored case studies and workshops.
