Andrew is a marine and international trade lawyer who advises UK and international cargo owners and insurers in relation to the carriage of goods by sea, air, road and rail. Andrew advises major international insurers based in Japan, the USA and Europe.
Andrew gained significant experience as a Paralegal at Clyde & Co, pursuing claims in many different jurisdictions against carriers for losses arising out of one of the largest containership casualties of all time. He joined Clyde & Co as an Associate in 2017. He is a member of the Marine and International Trade team based in Guildford and provides clients with sound commercial legal advice on a range of shipping disputes relating to the carriage of goods by sea, road and air, with a particular focus on cargo recovery claims.
Andrew regularly handles claims concerning loss and/or damage to high value cargoes carried in bulk and in containers. He has wide experience of handling claims before the Commercial Court and London arbitration tribunals, and also before courts and tribunals in many other jurisdictions around the world. Andrew has an in depth knowledge and commercial understanding of clients' needs in the field of carriage of goods and cargo recovery.
