Alex has over seventeen years of experience advising and representing project sponsors, funds, investors, utilities, lenders, and contractors in relation to the development, construction, and financing, as well as the sale and purchase, of projects located in over seventy countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia, Latin America, many of which are ‘first of a kind’ projects and deals. He has a particular focus on renewable energy and energy storage.
Alex also advises on corporate energy sourcing, carbon markets, natural capital and emerging markets finance.
He joined us in November 2024, having previously been a Partner at a global law firm based in London. He has also worked in the Oslo office of a Norwegian law firm and worked in Sydney, Melbourne and Berlin. Alex speaks fluent German.
Legal 500 (2024) named Alex as a “Next Generation Partner” in Renewables and notes that Alex is ‘particularly experienced in handling cross-jurisdictional work’. Alex was ranked in the ‘A Word about Wind’ Legal Power List 2020, which is the definitive rundown of the 100 most influential lawyers working on the financial side of wind energy.
