Sandeep is a Senior Associate in the Casualty & Large Loss team who has been with the firm for over 6 years. She is based in the London office and deals primarily with EL/PL claims for major corporate clients and insurers, as well as specializing in international injury claims.  

Sandeep has particular expertise in dealing with claims with a cross border element and package holiday claims and is regularly instructed by major tour operators and insurers.  She deals with an array of claims including head injuries, serious orthopaedic injuries, food poisoning claims and fatal accidents.  Sandeep has provided advice to clients in relation to supplier contracts, policy coverage, issues of jurisdiction and applicable law and liability and quantum.  She has also successfully assisted tour operators with recovery actions against foreign suppliers.

Sandeep is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) Gastric Illness Group and the firms Cross Border subject matter group.

  • Regularly provides training to clients in relation to legal updates, case law, case management and defensibility.
  • Successfully repudiated a large property damage claim brought against an individual following his stay in a French Gite resulting in significant savings for the travel insurer.
  • Successfully defended a number of food poisoning claims at trial arguing lack of causation, which resulted in significant savings for the tour operator client.
  • Successfully secured a finding of fundamental dishonesty against a Claimant who alleged she was more disabled than she was.  This involved close collaboration with the insurer and a detailed investigation into social media and surveillance evidence, which resulted in significant savings.
  • Has contributed towards a number of articles and insights in relation to jurisdictional issues, Brexit and its effects and new case law.
