Profil complet

Paul is a nominated individual for a number of key clients who advises insurers on policy coverage, property fraud, defended liability and subrogated recovery claims.

He has a particular specialism in both first and third party subrogated recovery work across all peril types and enjoys the technical and legal challenges of these claims. Paul regularly advises insurers on recovery strategy from shortly after the incident to pre-action, through the litigation stages right up to the recovery of costs. He has devised a number of schemes for a variety of insurers and is well-versed in management information (MI) requirements.

Paul’s defended liability work regularly involves advising insurers in relation to property damage caused by, amongst other things, construction and project related incidents.

He also advises insurers on coverage, first party fraud and consumer related insurance issues including referrals to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS).

Along with having extensive litigation and trial experience, Paul has undertaken adjudication and arbitrations for insurer clients. He is also vastly experienced in mediation and other forms of ADR.
