Jodie is a Legal Director in the Insurance Disputes team in the Dubai office with over nine years experience in advising both local and international (re)insurers on complex coverage and defence insurance matters across a range of insurance products and jurisdictions.
Jodie Adoki is an English qualified Legal Director in the Professional , Financial and Disputes section of Clyde & Co’s Dispute Resolution Group in the Middle East, the leading dispute resolution team in the UAE (and ranked Bank 1 by Legal 500).
Jodie trained in the Oman and London offices of a large UK commercial law firm between 2009 and 2012 before initially joining Clyde & Co in Dubai in 2012. Jodie worked as a lawyer in Clyde & Co’s Dubai office for over six years, advising insurance companies on both coverage and defence matters. Jodie then worked as a Senior Claims Specialist in London in the Financial Lines team of a top ranking international insurance firm for 18 months from 2018 to 2020 before rejoining Clyde & Co in October 2020.
Jodie’s day to day legal expertise is in advising on complex coverage matters often involving multiple technical considerations and across a variety of business lines with a particular focus on Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, and Medical Malpractice. Jodie’s experience includes high value matters across the GCC nations, particularly the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Advising London market reinsurers and local insurance companies in respect of property and business interruption claims arising out of the global Covid-19 pandemic in the UAE and wider GCC.
Advising medical professionals, hospitals and clinics in the GCC on both contentious medical malpractice claims before the regulatory authorities and in criminal and civil litigation.
Advising re/ insurers on policy coverage for large-scale property and business interruption losses regarding high profile fires and other property related losses in Dubai and the wider GCC.
Advising re/insurers on policy coverage regarding a variety of high value losses in respect of construction, energy and trade credit across the GCC.
