Jassar is a senior associate in Clyde & Co’s employment group and splits his time between the Jeddah and Riyadh offices. He has extensive experience in employment litigation and dispute resolution. Jassar is fluent in Arabic and English.

Jassar specialises in complex and sensitive employment issues representing employers in a broad range of disputes ranging from claims of invalid termination, corporate restructures, changes in terms and conditions and the application of international policies.

Jassar is a licensed attorney with the Ministry of Justice, Saudi Arabia, and has been practicing since 2015.

Jassar has a Master of Laws (LLM) from Duke University School of Law, US, and a BA from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia.

Expérience
  • Advising multinational companies regarding the establishment of branches in Saudi in relation to labour law.
  • Defending a multinational employer operating in the oil and gas sector in a claim where the employee claimed statutory entitlements for total service both in and outside Saudi Arabia.
  • Providing advice to multinational companies in the oil and gas industry on Saudi labour law and social security compliance regarding international secondments and temporary work.
  • Advising Cenomi Retail, a Saudi listed company and pioneering retail brand partner, on the SAR 120 million sale of its franchise rights (and related assets) for 18 brands to Abdullah Al-Othaim Fashion Company.
  • Advised a multinational holding company against claims of providing work for sister’s companies.
