The Limitation (Childhood Abuse) (Scotland) Act 2017 marked a significant shift in the legal landscape for survivors of childhood abuse in Scotland.

Enacted seven years ago, the legislation allows victims to seek damages even after the typical three-year time limit has expired, often holding employers accountable for the actions of their employees, such as local authorities for foster parents.
