Barakat, Maher & Partners in association with Clyde & Co has today announced the appointment of Mr. Abdel Aziz Hassouba. Mr. Hassouba joins as Senior Legal Advisor and brings over 40 years’ experience advising numerous Egyptian and non-Egyptian entities on complex and high-value disputes, corporate and regulatory matters.

Mr. Hassouba is a highly regarded lawyer and arbitrator. He advises clients in the banking, construction, defence and marine sectors. He has advised on high profile, complex commercial matters, disputes as well as regulatory and corporate matters, and has commented on the drafting of many of the current commercial and regulatory laws and codes of Egypt.

Mr. Hassouba is currently a board member of the Export Development Bank of Egypt and has also been a board member of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airport and Air Navigation.
