Rachel Werner concentrates her practice on healthcare law, particularly medical malpractice, professional liability, regulatory compliance, risk management, wrongful death, personal injury, and long-term care facility defense. She represents a diverse range of healthcare service providers, including hospitals, physicians, nurses, dentists, advanced practice providers, long-term care facilities, psychologists, and other allied health professionals. Her experience extends to all aspects of medical professional liability actions in litigation and before administrative licensing boards.
She built a solid foundation for her medical-legal practice by working as a Legislative Consultant at the American Osteopathic Association and by earning a Health Law Certificate from DePaul University College of Law. Rachel strives to educate and empower her clients as they navigate the legal world of medicine and manage the stressors of regulatory board complaints, litigation, and adverse events.
Rachel also brings substantial civil and commercial litigation experience, having defended tort, contract, residential real estate, product defect, and toxic tort matters in state and federal courts.
