Maciej Wiśniewski is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team in our Warsaw office. He joined Clyde & Co in 2024 with the opening of the office in Poland.

Maciej as a trainee advocate concentrates on civil disputes, including contract and damages claims as well as court proceedings with regulatory, unfair competition and protection of personal rights aspects. He advises clients on their pending court cases and pre-litigation issues. Maciej drafts legal opinions and pleadings in cases before courts of all instances.

Before joining Clyde & Co, Maciej worked at an international law firm where he experienced a wide range of commercial disputes.

In 2022 Maciej graduated with a master’s degree from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.
 

Experience
  • Contract liability – advising a manufacturer of safety control systems (defendant) in a dispute over a public procurement contract to supply a mobile X-ray vehicle scanner.
  • Unfair competition claim – advising a cable network operator (claimant) in a landmark court dispute with a competitor for damages for breach of competition law.
  • Contract liability – advising a power company (defendant) in a dispute over a public procurement contract to build a heat generation system using renewable energy sources.
  • Damages claim – advising a real estate company (claimant) in a court dispute against a distribution company selling electricity at inflated prices.
  • Personal rights – advising individual clients in cases involving infringements of personal rights. 
  • Corporate dispute – advising a real estate group in civil and criminal court cases in a corporate dispute arising from the need to protect investor interests.
  • Debt recovery – day-to-day legal services for an importer of alcoholic beverages and litigation against client’s debtors.
