Laura won Qatar Lawyer of the Year at The Legal 500 (Legalease) Middle East and North Africa Awards 2024, she is listed in Who's Who of Construction Lawyers as a leading construction lawyer and by Global Chambers as a Band 1 international dispute resolution lawyer.
Laura's non-contentious construction workload includes acting as project counsel and advising on major infrastructure projects in Qatar, as well as drafting and advising on standard form and bespoke contracts and appointments for construction projects in Qatar. Her contentious workload includes advising on international and domestic arbitrations, mediations, expert determinations and proceedings in the local courts.
Laura has been recognised as a Thought Leader in Who's Who Legaland has been recommended in the top tier of all leading independent legal directories including Chambers Global and Legal 500for a number of years.
Laura is originally a scientist having studied natural sciences at Cambridge University. She then obtained an LLB degree from London University and has been practising in the Middle East for over20 years

Acting for international contractor in relation to five subcontractor brought arbitrations arising out of large infrastructure projects in Qatar;
Acting for international contractor JV in relation to ICC arbitration against employer in relation to high profile health care complex;
Acting for international contractor in relation to claims brought against it by subcontractor at commercial and residential complex;
Acting for international consultant in relation to QICCA mediation in relation to residential project;
Acting for an international consultant in an ICC arbitration commenced by its sub-consultant in relation to services provided; and
