The claim was defended to trial and the court dismissed the claim on the basis that the prospect of the claimants succeeding in acquiring and developing the property was "fanciful".
Representing a firm of solicitors throughout the claim and at trial in relation to a claim against them regarding the wording of a reference letter of a former employee of a college. The court dismissed the claim and held that the solicitor did not owe a duty of care to the Claimant to advise in relation to any potential safeguarding questionnaire.
