Chris White is a seasoned litigator with experience conducting investigations, advising clients, and resolving disputes. He has achieved successful outcomes through negotiation, dispositive motions, and trial to verdict.
Most recently, he served as Senior Trial Counsel at the Securities and Exchange Commission. During his 12 years at the SEC, he investigated and litigated numerous enforcement cases. He has significant experience with the anti-fraud, registration, and investment adviser provisions of the federal securities laws.
Chris previously worked at another law firm in Chicago, where he focused his practice on advising insurers and representing carriers in coverage litigation. He has successfully represented insurers on many D&O, bad faith, environmental, asbestos, and professional liability claims.

Won jury verdict on all counts after a seven-day trial regarding management of a USD 50 million private investment fund.
As SEC Enforcement attorney, investigated and litigated cases involving offering frauds, broker-dealer registration, investment adviser regulation, market manipulation, suitability, and unregistered securities offerings.
Insurance Experience
Won Seventh Circuit appeal for D&O insurer regarding whether alleged fraud in connection with sale of a subsidiary constituted covered “loss.”
Won dismissal of all claims against excess professional liability insurer in Cook County, Illinois, in case involving financial valuation practices.
Prevailed on summary judgment in bad faith litigation that had been pending in Mississippi state court for 11 years.
Won summary judgment for excess insurer in environmental coverage dispute in Madison County, Illinois, based on policy exclusion.
