Tomas Tuszynski joined Clyde & Co as a Summer Associate and rejoined the firm’s specialty insurance and coverage counsel groups upon graduating from UCLA Law School. Tomas’ practice focuses on construction disputes, breach of contract and bad faith suits, disability insurance litigation, and commercial liability coverage analysis.
During law school, Tomas developed a strong foundation in legal research, advocacy, and litigation. He served as an Editor for the Journal of Law and Technology, where he explored emerging intersections of law and innovation. As a research assistant, Tomas studied political violence and vigilantism in the United States, further honing his analytical skills. His advocacy skills were sharpened through participation in Mock Trial and Moot Court competitions.
Tomas’ passion for litigation was evident early in his career. He has externed for the Honorable Judge Fernando Aenlle-Rocha of the US District Court for the Central District of California. He also has experience through internships with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office’s Criminal Grand Jury department and the Honorable Judge Brian E. Hill of Santa Barbara Superior Court. Additionally, he worked as a legal assistant at one of the top complex business litigation law firms in the US and as a paralegal at a boutique law firm focusing on civil and criminal trials, where he supported complex civil litigation matters.
