Dennis advises and represents clients in complex domestic and international disputes. He focuses on advising insurers in the areas of property and business interruption policies, D&O insurance/liability policies as well as event cancellation policies.
Dennis studied law at the Heinrich-Heine-University of Dusseldorf.
He initially joined Clyde & Co as a research assistant in the beginning of 2021 before starting as a lawyer in June 2021.
Experience
- Advising insurers on claims in connection with international property and business interruption policies, eg a business interruption loss due to a power core failure in an offshore wind farm.
- Advising insurers on claims under property insurance policies in the context of a large fire losses, eg regarding a fire in a plastics processing factory.
- Monitoring and coverage counsel in complex domestic and international D&O claims, e.g. advising an insurer regarding coverage pertaining to alleged planning errors in the context of a huge sports event.
- Advice on and defense counsel in a broad range of insurance issues in relation to Covid-19, including property and business interruption.
- Advising insurers on claims in connection with event cancellation policies, eg the cancellation of music festivals.
