Sophie has a particular focus on renewable energy and is trusted by the market to advise on some of the very largest and most complex wind and solar losses.

Sophie has several years' experience in global litigation and arbitration. Her international reach is assisted by speaking Spanish, French and Portuguese. Sophie has spent time working with Clyde & Co in Latin America and France, giving her an in-depth understanding of these insurance markets.

Recent and notable experience includes overturning a USD 470m judgment, the largest ever handed down in Denmark, resulting in a win for 24 international insurers on a coverage dispute over damage to an offshore oil platform.

Sophie has spent time working at a leading insurer as an energy claims adjuster in London, recognising the importance of the commercial considerations that will inform any legal discussions.

• Advice on non-disclosure and London market practice in relation to fatigue issues discovered on platform

• ICC arbitration in Mexico concerning a defectively welded pipeline
