Nicholas is a Senior Associate in the Sydney office within the Projects & Construction team. Nicholas has experience and advises on all areas of back-end dispute resolution, primarily for contractors in both a domestic and international context. This includes acting in litigation, arbitration, expert determination and security of payment disputes.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co in April 2022, Nicholas worked in a boutique law firm with a focus on all aspects of construction and infrastructure law, particularly litigation and security of payment,
Experience
Acting for a joint venture in respect of the delivery of a multibillion-dollar PPP infrastructure project in Sydney, including providing advice on various legal issues and assisting with downstream contracts.
Acting for the main contractor in an arbitration in respect of the construction of a large scale solar farm.
Acting for the main contractor in an expert determination under a GC21 Contract against the New South Wales Department of Education concerning the redevelopment of three schools.
Acting for contractors and subcontractors in adjudications under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW) (and equivalent legislation in Victoria and Queensland).
Advising contractors in relation to large scale infrastructure projects, particularly rail, commercial and residential in New South Wales and Victoria.
Acting for and advising clients in relation to matters under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW).
