Geraldine Stack is a Senior Associate in Clyde & Co’s Dublin office. She specialises in personal injury (including fraud), product liability and professional indemnity coverage and defence litigation, as well as coverage advice on property damage and business interruption coverage matters.

Geraldine joined Clyde & Co Ireland in February 2021. She practised as a barrister at the Irish Bar for 15 years prior to joining an international law firm in Dublin as a practising solicitor specialising in insurance litigation, where she headed up the Counter Fraud team.

Experience

• Provided coverage advices on a wide range of policy wordings on business interruption losses and property losses arising from Covid-19
• Acted in a wide variety of breach of contract matters including shareholder disputes and professional negligence cases involving engineers, assigned certifiers, architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, beauty consultants, brokers, dental and medical professionals
• Acted for a wide range of parties in commercial arbitration subject to a range of arbitral terms
• Acted for International Insurers in defence of cross jurisdiction Rome 11 cases
• Defence of large loss personal injury claims, including catastrophic and fatal claims
• Defence of large loss staged and exaggerated personal injury claims, including successful recovery of costs on behalf of Insurers
• Defence of product liability claims for international retailers
• Defence of induced defamation claims for international retailers
