Ana María specializes in international arbitration, litigation, and commercial and corporate disputes, with a special focus on the insurance sector. She has contributed to the successful resolution of complex and high-value cases, involving multiple jurisdictions and parties, mainly seated in Latin American countries.
Ana María holds an LLM in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from Queen Mary University of London, where she graduated with honours and received the prize for the best mark of the LLM. She also has a specialization in international business law from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia.
Ana María is qualified to practice in Colombia. She has published several academic articles and a commentary on arbitration law and is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
Before joining the London office, Ana María worked for the Colombian Trade Office to the United States in Washington, D.C., and in insolvency litigation and consultancy in prestigious law firms in Bogotá.
