David Spencer is a partner in our Manchester office. He holds more than 20 years of experience in litigation, specialising in a wide range of catastrophic and fatal injury claims. These include complex liability issues, brain and spinal injury, amputations, serious orthopaedic injuries and chronic pain.
His specialisation in catastrophic and fatal injury claims, combined with his talent for litigation, has led him to be involved in a number of organisations in his field. Namely, he is the appointed panel solicitor for liability claims involving the UK governing bodies of two and four-wheeled motorsport, and for various national sporting and recreational associations.
He is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and Sports Law Sector Focus Team (SFT), David also heads our sports practice group. He is responsible for coordinating our sports law offerings across insurance, claims and risk and regulatory consulting and beyond David’s general litigation responsibilities, he conducts numerous seminars and training on claims, litigation, risk and reporting.
