Amy Riley

Full Profile

Amy is an Associate in the Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss Team, based in the Edinburgh Office.  She qualified in 2018 having trained at a pursuer firm before spending four years working at another defender firm. She joined the firm in 2022 and is experienced in all aspects of civil litigation dealing regularly with claims in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts. 

Amy specialises in marine and aviation matters with a particular focus on EL/PL claims.  She also handles a number of claims involving foreign jurisdiction including catastrophic accidents abroad and holiday sickness claims.  

In addition, Amy’s practice includes dealing with employers liability and public liability claims closer to home. These often involve the more serious and catastrophic injuries, including claims arising out of care homes, hotels, public spaces etc.

• Amy is a core team member of the Travel and Holiday Litigation Practice in Scotland.  
• She deals with claims arising in foreign jurisdiction and regularly advises clients on claims on marine and aviation claims.  
• Handles a variety of claims including fatal and catastrophic injury claims.
