Ghalya is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and is licensed to practice in the UAE. She graduated with a Legal Practice Course (Postgraduate Diploma) and a Master of Laws degree (LLM) in International Legal Practice from the University of London, UK in 2014; a Master of Laws (LLM) in International & Comparative Commercial Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies - University of London, UK in 2013; and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from the School of Oriental and African Studies - University of London, UK in 2012.
Ghalya is a native Arabic speaker and is fluent in English.
Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Ghalya worked with at a leading international law firm in London.

- Advising noon on its AED 1.23 billion (USD 335.2 million) acquisition of Namshi from Emaar Malls.
- Advising Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm and a business of Marsh McLennan, in connection with its acquisition of Booz Allen Hamilton's strategy consulting business serving the Middle East and North Africa region.
- Advising Midis Group on the acquisition of Arrow ECS, a software distribution company registered in Dubai Silicon Oasis, from Arrow Electronics, a US-listed American Fortune 500 company.
- Advising leading French group of nurseries, Babilou Group, in respect of its acquisition of several nurseries in the UAE including Blossom Group and Bright Kids Group in the UAE.
