Rory started working for Clyde & Co in 2013 and qualified into the Litigation Team in 2015.
Rory has gained experience across the department in its range of defence litigation and recovery work. Rory acts for insureds on a variety of County Court and High Court defence litigation claims, but also continues to pursue subrogated recoveries on behalf of insurers for motor and property damage claims.
Rory is a member of the professional negligence team in Clyde & Co and he has acted for a number of professionals such as accountants, architects, project managers, mortgage valuers, an animal protection charity, a sign language charity and a language interpreter company.

Professional Indemnity Experience
- Representing a project manager in relation to a personal injury claim involving defective street furniture.
- Representing a playground inspection company in relation to a personal injury claim arising out of the use of a defective slide.
- Representing a kitchen company in relation to a defective kitchen fit-out.
- Representing a cat charity in relation to an ownership dispute, which we ultimately won at trial.
- Representing a surveyor in relation to an alleged over-valuation resulting in losses for a bank when the property was repossessed and sold.
- Representing an architect in relation to damage caused to a building as a result of damp ingress.
- Representing an accountant in relation to a claim in respect of financial advice and inaccurate tax returns leading to HMRC penalties.
