Nicola joined the Clyde & Co team in 2023.  She qualified as a solicitor in 2010, before spending the first few years of her career in Claimant catastrophic personal injury.  In January 2016, she moved into Defendant clinical negligence and, since then, has acted on behalf of a number NHS Trusts/GPs.

Nicola has previously been recognised in the Legal 500 for being “hardworking, bright and for her encyclopaedic knowledge”.  Her particular strength is in guiding clinicians through the litigation process, with previous thanks for her for her “support, wisdom and powers of demystification”.

Nicola is an experienced solicitor with a particular interest in cases concerning brain/spinal cord injuries, ocular injuries and Claimant's with complex medical histories (including complex heredity/genetics issues).  She manages a wide case load, which predominantly features complex/high value cases, and is experienced in cases such as birth injuries (including maximum severity CP), neonatal injuries, wrongful birth, double/quadruple amputees, brain injuries, secondary victim claims, the illegality defence and fraud/fundamental dishonesty.
