Cédrik Pierre-Gilles

Cédrik is a lawyer who practises primarily in the areas of privacy and cybersecurity. He namely works in the cybersecurity incident response team, in addition to advising clients on their general data management and protection obligations. Moreover, Cédrik provides his insurance clients with consulting services on regulatory requirements, among others.

A member of the Quebec Bar since 2020, Cédrik first joined the Clyde & Co team as a student in 2019.

He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Sherbrooke after having completed his studies in the cooperative program and then his articles in private business and law firm settings. Building on his experience, he always finds pragmatic solutions to various legal issues he encounters in his mandates. According to Cédrik, communication and cooperation most often lead to the best outcome in matter resolution; so, he never hesitates to leverage his strong interpersonal skills in his work.

From Sherbrooke to Montreal, through Montpellier in France, Cédrik’s academic journey led him to get involved in the legal student community. For instance, he served on the Diversity Committee and on the Lawyers Without Borders Committee of the University of Sherbrooke, for which he organized different events and awareness-raising activities.

Since 2022, Cédrik is a master’s candidate in the Information Technology Law program at the University of Montreal.

In his spare time, Cédrik enjoys going to the theatre and attending music shows of all kinds. Additionally, after many years of competing on the national short track speed skating circuit, he keeps active as a keen runner.
