Casey G. Perkins focuses his practice on advising insurers in first-party and liability coverage matters. For more than a decade, including four years as an in-house coverage attorney for a top 60 property and casualty insurer, he has counseled insurance clients on claims involving property, regarding property, inland marine, CGL, construction defect, professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, public officials’ liability, employment practices liability, automobile/trucking liability, and uninsured/underinsured motorists coverage claims.
As a former in-house attorney, Casey also has experience working with underwriters to identify and evaluate potential concerns with existing policy language and review proposed language changes, and training claims professionals on coverage issues. He also has extensive experience in motion practice, taking and defending depositions, managing experts, conducting discovery, and negotiating settlements, having successfully litigated coverage and bad faith suits in federal and state courts.
