Julia has advised on a number of corporate matters, working with clients operating in the healthcare, infrastructure, and technology sectors.

Julia is the author of the LexisNexis Cross-Border Joint Venture and Strategic Alliance Guide for the UAE and has contributed to Thomas Reuters Practical Law Guides for the UAE. 

Julia is a lawyer admitted to the bar in Germany.

Experience

• Advising a German headquartered internationally operating pharmaceuticals company on the migration of its regional headquarter entity in the UAE and the implementation of a group-wide corporate structure reorganisation. 
• Advising a European headquartered lightweight construction solutions manufacturer on the restructuring of its Middle East and Asia business operations in preparation for a potential business segment spin-off. This involved supporting with vendor due diligence, and advice on transfer of IP and registered agencies in the Middle East, termination of a JV company as well as new entity formation and licensing.  
• Advising a multinational telecommunications services company on the relocation of their regional headquarters for several business segments from Africa to the UAE, including licensing advice and registration of three new entities in Dubai.  
• Advising a European water management company on several corporate structuring, corporate governance and commercial (contentious and non-contentious) matters concerning its JV companies’ operation and structures in the GCC. 
• Advising an international engineering service provider specialising in fluid movement on changes to its international corporate group structure optimising management structure for operating entities in the GCC and implementation of JV terms. This also included advice on industry specific licensing requirements and varying mandatory national ownership requirements.  
• Advising a UAE-based technology software provider in the healthcare industry and relevant stakeholders on structuring and assistance with implementation of a Middle East specific disease data register for research purposes. This also involved advice on agreements to be entered into between several stakeholders and data protection elements.
