George specialises in all forms of dispute resolution, with a focus on Court of Appeal and High Court litigation. He has a wealth of experience in all types of commercial disputes ranging from intellectual property disputes, technology disputes, shareholder matters, director disputes, corporate governance, minority oppression, recovery of debts, data protection, employment and labour relations disputes and constitutional law disputes before various Courts and Tribunals.

George has represented a diverse portfolio of local and international clients across a variety of sectors including consumer goods and retail, financial services, technology and telecommunication, logistics, insurance and real estate.

George has been ranked a Rising Star in dispute resolution in Kenya by Legal500 in 2023 and 2024.

Experience

• Constitutional litigation – acting for clients in constitutional petitions, challenging various provisions of enacted laws
• Insolvency – representing clients in both pursuing and defending liquidation petitions for insolvent companies in Kenya
• International arbitration – assisting in the successful representation of the Government of Kenya in an international arbitration claim
• Employment – advising clients on labour relations matters including on employment contracts, staff restructuring, human resource manuals, industrial action and other labour relations matters including negotiating out-of-court settlements on behalf of the clients.
• Appellate advocacy -  successfully representing clients in a wide range of appeals before the Kenyan Court of Appeal
• Data protection - representing clients (both claimants and defendants) in data breach lawsuits before the High Court.
