Christopher (Chris) Neill provides insurance coverage advice to domestic and international insurers regarding commercial property and liability coverage. He has experience with a variety of first- and third-party insurance coverage issues, including large commercial property losses, construction, builders’ risk, marine and professional liability claims, and novel risks such as COVID-19 business interruption claims and cyber losses.
Chris also has experience providing tax, corporate, securities, and regulatory advice related to the formation and operation of captive insurance companies, and he has advised clients in the property/casualty insurance and life insurance sectors on a wide variety of tax, regulatory, corporate, and M&A issues.
Chris has defended insurers in breach of contract and bad faith actions, as well as pursuing declaratory judgment actions on insurers' behalf, and has served as defense counsel in premises liability and complex product liability lawsuits, and managed all discovery and pre-trial phases of state and federal litigation matters.
