Arina is part of the Energy, Maritime & Natural Resources Group in Clyde & Co’s London office. Arina is fluent in English, Portuguese, French and Russian and is able to accept instructions in these languages.

Arina has experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters in the areas of commercial shipping, yachting and marine insurance. Arina’s area of expertise focuses on non-contentious aspects of marine projects such as sale and purchase transactions, time charter and bareboat charter negotiations, shipbuilding, LNG supply chain and EPC projects and asset finance.

Arina regularly advises parties on sanctions exposure arising from marine related projects.

Arina spent six months in the firm’s Hamburg office, where she gained experience in maritime litigation, including acting for parties in disputes including off-hire, loss of profit, loss of use, deviation and war risks.

Experience

• Acting for sellers and buyers of commercial vessels in sale and purchase transactions, including participating in the negotiation of the contractual documents, preparing the delivery documentation and ensuring a smooth closing procedure.
• Acting for shipowners and charterers in drafting and negotiating time charters, voyage charters and bareboat charters of offshore support vessels, LNG carriers and commercial vessels.
• Acting for sellers and buyers of luxury yachts in sale and purchase transactions, including on financing arrangements.
• Acting for buyers of newbuild vessels, including advising on shipbuilding contracts and related financing.
• Advising parties on sanctions exposure arising from charterparties, brokerage agreements and contracts of carriage of goods by sea.
• Acting for a wide range of parties in English High Court proceedings and international arbitrations (under the LCIA Rules, ICC Rules and LMAA Rules) on disputes arising from charterparties, commodities trades and sale of goods agreements.
