Paul has been practicing as an insurance lawyer since 2011. His practice focuses in advising insurers and insured in the field of cyber insurance and financial and professional lines (D&O, E&O, PI). He comprehensively advises on cyber incidents and data breaches, including liability, business interruption and coverage. Paul represents insurers in complex claims as monitoring, coverage and also acts as defence counsel for insured in a wide range of liability disputes and in compliance-related cases.
Paul is lecturing at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne (Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln) and regularly publishes articles on insurance law and management liability. Paul has been a secondee to a claims department of an insurer and provides tailored service according to his clients’ needs. Paul earned his doctorate degree in European competition law and holds the title “Master of Commercial and Tax Law (LL.M.)”.
