Alex has a broad litigation practice, specializing in casualty and municipal liability. His practice areas include motor vehicle insurance; product, liquor and occupier’s liability; private and public sector healthcare involving paramedics’ liability, medical and long-term home care negligence, as well as abuse and neglect claims; property insurance and professional negligence.
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2015, Alex has appeared before various provincial courts and tribunals, such as the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.
Previously, Alex worked for a national financial institution, as well as for a global UK-based insurance company. He then articled and worked as a lawyer at a leading local boutique insurance defence firm, before joining Clyde & Co’s Toronto office.
Known for his pragmatic and efficient approach, Alex was selected as a participant on the first cohort of Clyde & Co’s North American Next Generation London Market Initiative—a competitive and exclusive business development project. Moreover, he is closely involved in the firm’s client relationship activities, constantly leveraging his strong interpersonal skills, and often facilitates presentations to insurers, associations and municipalities.
