Laurent Lacas

Full Profile

Laurent joined Clyde & Co in 2016 as a law student, and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2017 and the Ontario Law Society since 2020. He has varied professional experience in insurance law, including advising on coverage, risk management and regulatory compliance.

Although his experience spans all sectors of the insurance industry, Laurent has developed particular expertise in Directors and Officers’ liability insurance and professional liability insurance, particularly in the context of financial risks. His practice involves advising and representing national and London market insurers on all Canadian aspects of their business.

Laurent's versatility, attention to detail and pragmatism enable him to offer advice and representation tailored to his clients' realities. During his law studies at McGill University, Laurent articled at the Superior Court of Quebec in Montreal, where he developed his research skills, and also held the position of administrative director of the McGill Law Journal. A natural listener, his colleagues appreciate him for his advice and work ethic.
