Vera Katkova

Full Profile

Vera’s practice at Clyde & Co focuses on insurance law and regulatory work. She provides insurance coverage advice in various fields, including cyber, environmental, representations and warranties, commercial liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, and construction. In addition, Vera advises clients on complex regulatory compliance issues across Canada.

Previously, she completed her articles in the litigation group of a global full-service law firm, where she gained experience working in the insurance, class actions, securities, privacy and regulatory fields. Vera’s past work experience includes positions with the ministries of Finance and of the Attorney General of Ontario. 

She obtained her Bachelor of Civil Law and her Juris Doctor from McGill University. She holds a Specialist Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in socio-legal studies. During her academic journey, Vera was always highly involved in the local community, volunteering with organizations aiming to support underprivileged and marginalized groups. 

Described as hardworking, resourceful and organized, Vera is valued by colleagues and clients for her diligent attention to detail, dedication to files and creative approach to problem solving.
