Vera Katkova

Full Profile

Vera occupies a hybrid role at Clyde & Co, practicing in both the cybersecurity and insurance coverage teams. She has a particular focus on cyber risk, representations and warranties insurance, and commercial liability. 

Previously, Vera completed her articles in the litigation group of a global full-service law firm, where she gained experience working in the insurance, class actions, securities, and regulatory fields. Her past work experience also includes positions with the ministries of Finance and of the Attorney General of Ontario. 

Vera obtained her Bachelor of Civil Law and her Juris Doctor from McGill University. She also holds a Specialist Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto in socio-legal studies. During her academic journey, Vera was always highly involved in her community, volunteering with organizations aiming to support under-privileged and marginalized groups. 

Described as hardworking, resourceful, and organized, Vera is valued by colleagues and clients for her diligent attention to detail, dedication to files, and creative approach to problem solving.
