Victoria joined the Employment team in 2015 and is a Senior Associate in the London office, advising clients across a variety of sectors in relation to contentious and non-contentious employment law issues. Victoria has particular experience in handling complex disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes, senior executive terminations, contractual disputes, small-scale and multi-jurisdictional redundancy exercises as well as dealing with day-to-day employee relations issues.
Victoria also has considerable experience of dealing with employment-related litigation, including Employment Tribunal claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing.
Victoria regularly delivers training sessions and workshops on key employment law issues, including discrimination, redundancy situations and managing disciplinary and grievance processes.
Victoria is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Experience
Dealing with day-to-day employee relations and employment law queries (including in relation to holiday pay, sickness absence management, family leave and employment-related data protection issues) from clients across a range of sectors, with a particular focus on the professional services and financial services sectors.
Advising clients in relation to complex grievance, disciplinary and performance management issues.
Defending Employment Tribunal claims including claims relating to unfair dismissal, equal pay, whistleblowing and discrimination (including age, race, sex, disability, sexual orientation and sexual harassment).
Advising clients in relation to employee terminations and negotiating related settlement agreements.
Advising senior executives in relation to their contractual obligations, including post-termination restrictive covenants.
Providing support on the employment issues arising in the context of corporate transactions.
Drafting and providing advice on contracts of employment and consultancy agreements.
Reviewing and advising on employee handbooks, policies and procedures.
