Nicole Johnson focuses her practice on insurance coverage and defense matters, including bad faith, personal injury, and liability matters.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Nicole worked as an Arbitration Specialist at an American insurer group where she responded to arbitration demands filed by adverse insurers by drafting counter arguments and constructing evidence binders. In her responses, she addressed and raised affirmative, coverage, and liability defenses as appropriate. Before her work as an Arbitration Specialist, Nicole worked as a Claims Adjuster with a multiple-line insurance organization where she investigated, evaluated, negotiated, settled, and resolved both bodily injury and property damage claims that resulted from losses involving personal and commercial motor vehicles. In this role, Nicole worked directly with insureds, third-party claimants and their attorneys, and in-house counsel.

While at Emory University School of Law, Nicole’s student Comment was selected for publication in the 72nd Volume of the Emory Law Journal. She also completed various externships and internships, including with the Honorable Thomas A. Cox in the Superior Court of Fulton County, at the Georgia State Capitol, with the US Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, and as a Research Assistant at Emory Law.
