Beth is a Senior Associate in the Insurance, Professional and Financial Disputes team in London. Her experience includes defending law firms, construction professionals, and their professional indemnity insurers in relation to a wide range of complex, high value and high profile disputes. In addition to litigation, Beth has experience in forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation.
In addition to civil claims, Beth also advises on regulatory issues and has acted for clients in relation to regulatory investigations and disciplinary proceedings.
Beth has experience of the insurance market having undertaken a nine month secondment at a market leading global insurance company. During her secondment Beth handled a number of claims for a range of professionals notified under professional indemnity policies. Beth also advised on Directors & Officers policies and handled coverage issues.
Experience
Successfully defending a steelworks subcontractor in a complex, multi-party Technology and Construction Court trial, in a claim relating to the construction of a tram depot in Blackpool.
Advising subcontractors on claims arising out of cladding issues.
Defending claims brought against law firms relating to a range of issues. Including claims relating to lost litigation, missed limitation and regulatory investigations.
Acting in the defence of solicitors before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal.
Undertaking a secondment with a market leading global insurance company. Dealing with claims under Directors & Officers and Professional Indemnity policies, including considering coverage.
