Michael Hession represents the aviation and aerospace industries in complex domestic and international litigation and dispute resolution matters, as well as commercial contract negotiations, government regulatory compliance, and other legal matters.
With 25 years of experience, including serving as in-house counsel for the largest general aviation engine manufacturer in the world, Michael has provided advice and counsel to industry-leading companies that manufacture and service flight critical components such as engines and power systems, altimeters, navigation databases, restraint systems, and a variety of other products and services; as well as airlines, MROs, and other essential service providers. In addition to acting as litigation and dispute resolution counsel, Michael also provides advice and counsel on various transactional aspects that arise in the industry, including risk analysis, import/export matters, and licensing and supply chain agreements.
Michael has published articles in a variety of law journals and periodicals, including Southern Methodist University's Journal of Air Law & Commerce and other respected publications. He speaks at aviation seminars and conferences, focusing on areas of product liability defense, risk assessment and mitigation, e-discovery challenges, and other areas of interest to the aviation and aerospace industries.
