Nisha's work to date has provided exposure to a broad array of industries including, insurance, oil & gas, TV/Media, energy and financial services. Nisha continually analyses and interprets complex UK Immigration Rules, European Regulations and associated jurisprudence and their application to different scenarios, based on clients' needs and objectives. Nisha actively advises a multinational telecommunications company on corporate immigration matters in Luxembourg, India and Ghana and appreciates the legal issues faced by global businesses.  

Nisha has specialised in assessing eligibility to work, eligibility to obtain Tier 1, 2 or 5 immigration permissions and advising UK employers in relation to compliance with Tier 2 Sponsor Licence obligations in order to prevent illegal working.

Nisha has worked with other departments of the firm such as Tax, Corporate, Property and Aviation to ensure compliant practices and best meet clients' needs. She actively keeps up to date with changes to the global immigration landscape.

Experience

• Following the EU Referendum, advising a multinational Media company on process for securing the position of their multiple EEA national employees.
• Successfully advising a large insurance company on the Tier 2 (General) immigration process for a large project which arose following the closure of its Indian office.
• Successfully advising in respect of an EEA Permanent Residence on the basis of an Extended Family Member where an application was previously refused.
• Obtaining Indian Employment Visas on an urgent basis for employees of a multinational Telecommunications company
• Working alongside the Tax department to advise a high-net-worth individual in respect of their Tier 1 (Investor) application involving funds of no less than £2m
• Successfully assisting to overturn the refusal of an EEA Family Permit application where the genuineness of the relationship was in doubt
