Marcelo is a partner of our associated office in Chile, based in Santiago.
Marcelo has an extensive experience as a litigation attorney and has had an outstanding participation in dispute settlements before the Superior Courts of Justice, especially before the Supreme Court. He is an expert in civil, civil procedural and constitutional Law.
In addition, he has an important civil service career at the State Judicial Council, where he works as a Litigation Attorney, being in charge of cases of national relevance and also honored of the Award for Best Legal Defense for two consecutive years in the administrative litigation area (years 2017 and 2016). He was also an Inspector Attorney, Head of the Internal Audit Unit and Chief Lawyer of the Department of Judicial Control and Procedures of the State Judicial Council.
In the academic area, he teaches at the Andrés Bello University, Clinic I courses (Written Litigation Skills); Clinic II (Resources); Forensic Writing and; Contractual Writing and RAC. In addition, since 2012 he has taught various courses at the Judicial Academy.
He worked, for several years, as a researcher at the Center for Justice Studies of the Law Faculty of the University of Chile.
