Brandon Franklin's practice focuses on aviation, product liability, class actions, and complex commercial litigation.
Brandon has represented public and private companies, including those in the insurance, transportation, retail, technology, and aerospace industries. He has litigated in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels and has handled product liability, commercial and privacy class actions, mass tort, trade secret, and breach of contract matters. He has taken numerous depositions, successfully argued dispositive and discovery motions in court, and has contributed to the defense of clients at trial. He also has experience advising clients on regulatory matters. His pro bono work includes co-counseling with a nonprofit civil rights organization in a matter-challenging plea practices in Kern County and contributing to amicus brief filed on behalf of a group of internet scholars in a case arguing that the US Supreme Court should not impose sweeping changes to the nation's internet policy.
Brandon previously served as a Law Clerk for The Honorable Laurel Beeler at the US District Court for the Northern District of California, and he previously worked as an Associate at two international litigation firms.
In addition to his professional activities, Brandon is an active instrument-rated private pilot with over 300 hours of flight time and a volunteer pilot with Angel Flight West.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Brandon pursued a career in music. Between 2007 and 2009, he was principal trombone of the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra in Los Angeles.
