Ana is an Associate in Clyde & Co’s International Arbitration and Commercial Litigation Group.

Ana has worked at the firm’s London and MEA offices and has international exposure to high-value matters involving both private and state-owned entities. 

Her experience includes arbitration matters under major institutional rules (including the LCIA, ICC and ICSID) and English High Court litigation. She has also worked on a complex portfolio of claims proceeding in the County Court. 

She has worked with clients in diverse sectors including energy, environmental, pharmaceutical and aviation. Ana has also acted on regulatory, professional liability and defamation matters. Her involvement in the UAE focused on M&A and corporate governance.

Ana is fluent in English and Portuguese. She is admitted to practice in England & Wales. 

Experience

• Part of team representing Middle Eastern government in several multi-million US dollar energy arbitrations.
• Representing global energy supplier against multiple claims of energy mis-selling and breach of fiduciary duty. 
• Assisted major airline with counterclaims and recovery of funds related to fraudulent payment transfer. 
• Advising university on potential dispute merits of claim against cryogenic equipment supplier.  
• Defending global law firm against allegations of negligence in relation to the representation of a UK company in ICSID arbitration.
• Assisted with enforcement of UK arbitral awards abroad, including debt enforcement, on behalf of private charter client.
• Acted on behalf of Insurers of US cybersecurity company in relation to allegations of breach of US Securities Exchange Act following billion-dollar acquisition.  
• Acted on behalf of individual in respect of defamation matter.
