Nasra Esak

Nasra is a driven associate with a broad insurance defence practice in civil and commercial litigation matters.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and her Juris Doctor from the University of Leicester (United Kingdom), Nasra was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023. She represents clients before the Ontario Superior Court and various adjudicative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the License Appeal Tribunal.  

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Nasra worked at a boutique insurance defence firm in downtown Toronto, where she focused on insurance defence litigation. She has experience in a variety of insurance matters, such as those involving automobile accidents, occupier’s liability, product liability, professional negligence, coverage disputes and class actions.

Before attending law school, Nasra worked as a Policy and Communications Analyst for the Government of Nunavut. This experience provided her with invaluable insight in government regulatory frameworks and policy procedures.

Nasra is passionate about engaging in community programs and events which promote increasing access and the inclusivity of Black and Muslim youth in the legal profession.
